Votes for Women: A Portrait of Persistence

A poster exhibit celebrating the centennial of the 19th Amendment that secured women's voting rights. The exhibit was organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.

Our permanent collection includes over 600 Valentines. We have selected about 100 for this exhibit of Valentines ranging in date from the 1880s to the 1960s.

Museum Hours & Admission

Winter Hours (November-March): 12pm to 4pm, Tuesday-Saturday; closed Sundays, Mondays, and major holidays.


Summer Hours (April-October): 12pm to 4pm, Tuesday-Sunday; closed Mondays and major holidays.


Admission is $2.50 for adults, free for museum members and children under the age of 12.
